The end-of-winter blahs....

It's snowing... again... tonight... here in New England (although these photos were taken during the snowstorm 4 nights ago)... I feel like crawling under the covers and hibernating until spring arrives, and it looks like I've got company...

"Ugh.. More snow? Could someone throw another blanket over me?"

"Please... don't wake me till spring..."

Luckily the snow from 4 nights ago was gone by the following afternoon... Hopefully tonight's will be, too.

That's the only upside to late spring snows... they melt away so quickly. Okay, the other upside is that they are beautiful...

But boy, oh boy, I can't wait to look out over the backyard and see green grass and flowers blooming! The kitties and I are getting anxious for some warm spring weather!!

Hang in there, Donna! This point in the winter is so hard, isn't it? I know my husband has about had it with all the snow. March is in sight, then spring is just around the corner!

Oh when the hot summer days are here you are going to miss those beautiful snow days. LOL

I don't want our winter to end. Of course we only get rain and not that often. It never gets really cold here either. So it's much different here.

I hate hot summer days.

Joanne

It does look so lovely, doesn't it but I can sympathise. Winter feels endless sometimes doesn't it?

Over here in the UK, the weather was so nice that you could go out without a coat on yesterday. Divine. Hope it finds its way to you soon.

Hi Donna...Here in northern Maine we received 10 inches during the night, and expect another 10 today. I don't think it will melt fast enough for me. I love your cats....aren't
cats just the best? Hugs, Kathleen

I love the photo of your garden gate and arbor! Aren't kitties the smartest creatures ever, they just know to curl up and sleep 'till it's over! We haven't had a single flake, so I envy all that beautiful white snow!
Guess what I'm having for breakfast? MORE chocolate cake; yummo!

Donna, thanks for leaving a comment at Robin's Nesting Place. I'm so glad you did! I think your possum was much cuter than mine, they must get uglier with age! I've so enjoyed browsing through your blog this morning and I just added you to my list of blogs to follow on Blogger. I'll definitely be back!

Ooh it really does look like an enchanted cottage at your house! It's made me feel all chilly looking at that snow :D

I can't wait for proper spring either, though it is definitely thinking about it here.

I very much understand. We even got more snow, on top of all the snow cover, we _still_ have. It's never gone away, here.

So today I posted a little late winter fantasy, here. Perhaps it would help you too...

Your cats look so content and your yard looks beautiful even with the snow. But I'm with you !
I have spring fever...you can tell it's close by the way the birds are acting here. I have a wish for all things green and growing right now and warm sunshine on my shoulders.

I'm with you, I have had all the cold I can take, though we have not had as much snow as you have. Your kitties sure do look cozy! What beautiful photos.

Look at your kitties all snuggled up under the covers..oh they are adorable! We had some more snow arrive Saturday..it is still clinging to everything but hopefully the sunshine will soon melt it away. I am sooo looking forward to Spring this year! Oh, how I miss my sandals!

Spring will be here soon, I promise, a little Robin Redbreast told me so. I believed him.

I love your garden gate in the snow, it looks so peaceful.

Donna, thanks so much for your sweet comments about my Sally Girl. Sally was about 13 years old. We got her when she was only seven weeks old...she was a pampered pooch. I will miss her.

Your kitties look so sweet all cuddled up under the blankets! I know you must be longing for warmer and dryer weather. Spring is just around the corner...It's hard to believe that February is just about over! March will be here on Sunday!

Have a wonderful week, Donna. Thanks again for your thoughts and hugs!
