Mission Accomplished...

"A cat in the house, no longer a mouse."

"Two cats in the house and still a mouse" is more accurate at our little cottage! (But you can tell from the photos that they really do try!)

Last night this little guy (I call him Fievel) decided he could no longer resist the smell of peanut butter on a cracker, so here he is in his little "have a heart" trap before being set free into the great outdoors, where he will hopefully live a very long and happy mouse life "somewhere out there, beneath the pale moonlight..." 1. Well isn't he a cutie pie! I love mice.

I once lived with my nephew who had a snake and it ate mice. My nephew used to bring the cute little furry thing home in a bag and he would have me hold the bag while he cleaned the snake cage out.

He would come back when the cage was clean and the snake was back inside. He would ask for the bag back. I gave it to him but it was empty.

I let the mouse go outside. I didn't get to hold the mouse bag anymore after that.

  4. Run Fivel Run!!! How sweet that you set him/her free. Kitties may need to go to a mousing 101 refresher course...but you are right, how darling that they tried so hard! Great post....you made catching a mouse look almost fun! xoxo ~ Joy
