Can you lend a paw?

Spotty is thinking, "I could just sit and look at this tree for hours... But it really is time for it to come down now..."

"You're right, Spotty. It needs to come down today. So I see you've decided to give me a hand (paw) sorting through these photo ornaments that need to be packed away."

"Hmmm... maybe if I look away and pretend I don't hear her she'll leave me alone..."

Uh oh... The eyes are getting heavy... the head is nodding...

And he's gone... "Sleep tight, sweet Spotty... I'll try to be very quiet packing things away so I don't disturb your cat nap."

Oh, the things we do for the cats who own us...

I finally got around to taking down our tree today. I had intended to do it right after New Year's but I came down with the nastiest cold... So everything had to be put on hold. Yesterday I packed up the few decorations I had put around the house and today I 'undecorated' the tree. It's definitely not as much fun taking the tree down as putting it up, but it is nice having the house back in order... Wishing you all a wonderful week...

Donna

  4. What a sweet little kitty cat.
We aren't able to have cats anymore as my eldest boy is allergic to them :0(.
I got my tree down on Christmas day :0(. Had to, it was so dry.
I hope you're feeling better and that the cold was short lived.
    Hugs and enjoy your day!

  5. our cat is so cute, love the markings on his head. It's funny how they have to follow you around like a puppy sometimes and be part of whatever you are doing. I had a cat for 18 years , he was my baby .
Looks like your cat is a child also, always looking for attention.

  6. Hi Donna...my Mr. Ming rules our house. This cat wants to be patted all the time. He wakes me up during the night if he is lonely. But I love his presonality. My husband is still on the road...since November 16. He wanted me to leave the tree up til he gets home. I guess you know that wasn't going to happen. Poor guy....Hope you're feeling better! Hope you are over your cold. I had one too over Christmas. Nasty stuff.

  11. Hi Donna, I'm doing the same thing today. I agree, it's more fun to put it up than to take it down. I'll miss all my precious, lovely, sparkly, wonderful little friends 'til next year. Now I'm getting ready for Valentine's Day. I love that holiday, too.

  13. If only my kitties had been content to just look and not touch..or play with the ornaments. In fact it was a team effort....cats got the ornaments down so that little doggy could chew on them. Isn't that so kind of them?

    I enjoy your blog.

  14. Your cat is precious. Your cat looks to be well behaved. My two cats on the other hand, not so much. They kept jumping on and pushing all of my ornaments around. In fact, a couple of years ago they knocked the tree down, and broke several of my ornaments!! But, I still love them. I hope you have a great week. Nicole ~

  16. What a pretty kitty! Every year, as soon as our "herd" see the tree come out they get so excited. The wait for the train set to be put out, and if we forget to put the lights on, they will sit by the tree and cry until we do! We finally got them to stop climbing up inside our trees!
