An exciting day here in New England...

Now I realize this won't be a big deal to many of you... You might not even consider this bit of news blog-worthy... but if you lived here in the northeast you'd understand my excitement....

....it reached over 60 degrees here today and I was able to have the windows open for the better part of the day!!!!!! That is such a gift for only the second week of February!!!!

So often it's the simplest things in life that give the greatest pleasure!!!

Very nice! We are having some crazy weather here in Oregon. A couple weeks ago it was almost 60 and yesterday and today it snowed! Eeeek! I can't figure out what clothes to bring out in my closet. Lol! And yes, that sure is iced coffee. I make really good iced coffee at home. :) That's one of my favorite drinks too!

By the way, your little kitty looks just like my Ferguson who passed away last October, bless their little hearts. :)

With all that snow you have been having I bet it was wonderful to get some fresh air blowing in the house today.

Spring is just around the corner.

Oh and ANYTHING is blog news worthy in my eyes!

Hugs,
Joanne

Oh yay for you!!! I was able to do that last week and it was wonderful! Of course I live in CA so it's probably less of a surprise than where you live. :) But it was so nice!

Now, today was a different story--SO cold! And it's raining right now.

Further proof that everything is relative. Here in South Florida, I practically turned cartwheels a week ago when a cold snap brought a welcome respite, causing the temps to drop into the upper 30s overnight low 60s during the day. Brrrr. Loved it.

I hear you Donna.. it was about 45 here in Maine where I live. I loved it... the only problem I find is I want to start gardening or something... I have such spring fever on days like this...Rainy this am and lots of fog.. it's Thursday and I plan on just enjoying my day off.

Hi Donna!
Well we had gale force winds here in Ohio last night, 60-70 mph winds. Hold on to your skirt Effie, the winds a pickin' up!! We had to batten down the hatches. No open windows here!! But I sure am looking forward to that day when we can LOL
Hugs,Sherry
I'm so glad you had a sweet day!

I just love the windchimes in the window. I have that as well it puts a smile on my face everytime the wind blow and I hear the windchimes. Something about having windows open, it's such a fresh feeling.
Have a great day,
Ginger

I can't ever recall a day in N.E. in February temperatures reaching that high. More like "put another log on the fire honey would you please". I hope you enjoyed every minute of your day!

I felt the same way Donna. What a treasure. I'm glad you were able to air the house and feel the promise of spring. It's a blessing you want to share.

I just want you to know how much I LOVE your prisms. I've been thinking about them way more than I should, lol. Thinking about how I could do the same in my own house.

Just today I took 2 of the 4 prisms hanging on my wrought iron guest bed off and hung them in the guest bedroom window. It faces the south so I'm hoping they'll catch the light and I'll soon have rainbows dancing on my walls just like yours.

Sorry to ramble. Just thought you'd like to know I am totally stealing your idea. ;-)

Enjoy your spring-like weather!

Isn't it great to air the house out? We had nice warm weather yesterday but today the wind showed up from Ohio! Not back to frosty temps yet, but not pleasant to be outside.

I so enjoyed the temperature today, we opened the shop door today for a while, but it was too windy and had to close it! I love it when it is so mild. It's kind of like a little glimpse into Spring!

LOL! I do appreciate a unseasonably warm day from time to time!

We had really blustery winds today -- gusts of over 50 miles and hour! It felt like March.

You opened your windows? Lucky you! We reached the upper 50's but only for a short time. It was wonderful all the same. I too LOVE to open the windows as soon as I can in the spring (or Winter). It smells good and airs out all the germs ; )

Aren't you glad it wasn't snowing for a change? Exciting indeed!
