In like a lion... and feeding a cold...

In true New England fashion, March came in like a lion, dumping over 12" of snow on us... We had just started to see the bare ground again, while basking in the warmth of 50 degree temps...

It snowed all through the night... This is what the bird feeder looked like when I got up this morning. I used a wooden spoon to push off the 12+ inches of snow so the birds could get at the seed...

And I'm sick... Blech... In the end, none of the 'fancy' medicines work any better than generic aspirin for getting rid of the chills, aches, and pains...

Hope wherever you are, you're staying cozy and warm!!!
Donna

Oh no, hope you feel better soon! We got hit as well, but only about 4 inches and much of it melted in the afternoon. Though it looks pretty, I am completely sick of it and can't wait for Spring!

Hey Donna,
I'm also from New England (MA) and know what you mean about the snow. I also know about feeling sick as well, as I am just getting over the flu myself.

I hope you're feeling better soon.

Oh, so sorry to hear you are ill today! How sweet of you to make sure the birdies could get to their seeds when you're feeling under the weather! :)

Oh I hope you feel better soon. I hate those yucky colds!

Wow you sure did get a lot of snow. Funny how you posted you were "basking in the warm 50 degree" days. Just today I said "Oh it's going to be cold tonight"...it's going to be 52 LOL

Hugs,
Joanne

I stayed and stayed, listening to your music but I could never find it. I, obviously, am blog challenged.

I hope you get well soon. Surely winter is on it's way out.

We got a dump of the same stuff, and three days later our kiddos are still out of school. I hope it's our last one of the season. It's pretty, but I am not a fan of the cold weather it brings!

Awwwwwwww, I'm so sorry you're sick, on top of the ding-dang snow.

Stay warm and give yourself lots of TLC, and let your body rest. So it can fight off the cold or whatever. Everything that needs doing, will be there, when you again feel like doing it.

And yeah, that March! You gotta' watch March all the time. No wonder it's the month in which I was born. -grin-

Gentle hugs,
Aunt Amelia

Awww, feel better. I don't miss that part of N.E. even a little. I used to think the hot was too much but now, i'm thinking the cold is simply too much for me. Don't forget to have a nice hot cup of tea to go with your cold. I just did. Chemomile & ginger. I hope we feel better soon!!

Hi Donna,

My daughter has a terrible cold too. Hopefully you will both feel much better soon!

Next week we'll see some warmer weather so it should make us all a little more cheerful. On the bright side, the peepers are usually peeping by April 1st! Provided we don't have more snow that is ; )

Hi Donna, I'm so sorry that you are sick, I hope you feel better real fast....remember lots of liquids to flush it out! We have that blasted snow here, too. I'm ready for it to be over. I didn't know about UO, thought at first it was an outdoor equipment place. I'll check it out, looks wonderful!
