Tweeting ...

I don't tweet. Do you? One of my girls Tweets, but thus far I haven't had any desire to delve into this newest form of communication.

I remember when only birds tweeted.

But not these two. They play music rather than tweet. The bluebird plays "It's a Small World" and the robin plays "You Light Up My Life."

But the real birds outside are tweeting very loudly today! I can hear them even through the closed windows (it's a tad on the chilly side today).

I suspect they're trying to attract mates. After all, it's spring and love is in the air!

I don't have much to tweet about today. I did go to Weight Watchers. I've been VERY bad about attending weigh-ins or meetings the past few months, and my lack of commitment has been showing on the scales.

I went to WW last week after a month and a half absence from attending and I was up 1.2 pounds. It was definitely time to recommit to going weekly. Thankfully today's weigh-in was better. Down 2.6 lbs. Still a far cry from where I want to be, but better than a gain.

Wishing you all determination, courage, and stick-to-it-iveness with any challenges you might be battling in your lives!

  1. Hi Donna...I love the birdies! And the tweeting of birdies is all I like to hear. Haven't ventured into Internet tweeting. ha!

I can totally identify with the weight thing. Hey! A pound and a half after more than a month of no meetings is pretty good in my book!

I've struggled with weight all my life but will NEVER give up on the hope of someday being a "normal" (whatever that is) weight. Thanks for the post. Sincerely, susan

  2. Hey, any weight loss when you are trying is good!

I love to watch the birds in my backyard. The Mourning Doves are funny. There was a female (I suppose) pecking at some seeds I'd thrown out. Along come two other birds, which I assume where males. Well, one of them decided her wanted the girl for himself and chased the other bird clear into the yard across the street! (I think they mate for life.)

Spring is such a nice time with all the singing, the cute squirrels and the flowers.

    BTW, I, too, am a non-Tweeter.

  3. Hi Donna,

No, I do not tweet and I have no desire to. I have my hands full with blogging, email and facebook! I much prefer the real tweets of our feathered friends. I love your new header!

  5. I do tweet. I don't enjoy it as much as blogging since not many of my friends do it. I enjoy the tweeting of the birds outside my window much more. Carla

  6. No, I don't tweet. I prefer to hear birds do the tweeting. I don't know if this is just a fad or is here to stay. But I'm staying out of it!

  7. I always say I'm to old to tweet! I think tweeting is silly really. I mean who cares what you are doing every minute of the day. Heck, I still hate having a cell phone and having people check up on me to see where I am when I'm not home.

What happened to the good ol' days where you could leave your house and not worry about a phone call. Oh yes, answer machines popped up and then pagers and now cell phones.

Can't people just wait until you get home and call you back?

The only tweets I care about are the cute ones like in your pictures :)

Oh and you are doing great with WW. Heck a little over a pound in over a month is nothing. I can do that in a day LOL

I've been bad and having a hard time getting my mind to want to count points and watch what I eat again.

    Hugs,
    Joanne
