upcycled silver water pitcher...

This silver water pitcher that I've had laying around...

....has now been put to use on the kitchen counter as a utensil holder.

It may go back to being a flower vase at some point, but for now it's replacing a tall pottery vase that I had been using for the utensils that was very prone to tipping over.

I love it's fancy little handle...

...and feet. Yup. I think I'm going to enjoy looking at this little guy in my kitchen every day.

  4. Darling idea, it's beautiful and so useful too! I looove using items we wouldn't normally use for everyday and displaying them like you have with this piece! It's perfectly unexpected! Debbie @ Cottage Hann~Me~Downs

  14. love that! I use a an old crock that is supposed to be a flower pot. I saw one some time ago where someone had used an old strawberry planting crock as a utensil holder. It was neat because the old crock had holes all the way down to the bottom where you could stick utensils. Have a fabulous week! ~ Lynn @thevintagenest
