Since I posted last, we've had quite a few snowstorms here in New England.
In addition to the snow, we've had bitterly cold temperatures like much of the U.S.
Here are some snow snippets as seen through the windows of our little house.
In about four months time there will be flowers hanging from the tree house...
... and flowers planted in the shed's window boxes.
The clematis that covers the arbor will be in full bloom...
... as will the clematis that climbs the lamppost by the front path
(not even visible due to the accumulation of snow from the last storm).
Come May, the hoppa crab trees will be covered with heavenly pink blossoms...
... and annuals will be planted in the whiskey barrel next to the maple tree.
I got hit with the flu after the holidays. It came on so suddenly and it took over a week before I started to feel like myself again. I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
The nighttime temps have been single digits lately. It's 8 degrees outside right now.
I'm counting the days 'til we hit double digit temperatures for a full 24 hours!
I'm joining Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday this week.
Stay warm everyone!

I am glad to hear you are feeling better. I love the way you looked at all the snow.
"An Enchanted Cottage" has been included in the Sites To See for this week. Be assured that I hope this helps to point many new visitors in your direction.

We are also having low temps and snow. I hate to wish away the months, but I am hoping for an early Spring.
Oh boy. I'm with you. Spring can't come soon enough! It's so cold here. We somehow missed getting any accumulation in the last storm, but apparently there is more coming tonight and into tomorrow. What a winter!!

The snow is lovely. Here in NC we have had the bitter cold minus the snow. Stay warm. - Carla
LOVE your snow photos, Donna-----very artistic! Great job.
Do you know I was also hit with sickness right after the holidays? This is going on my third week of not being 100 percent well. Feel MUCH better but I'm stick hacking at night.
Love your visualization of spring and flowers and lovely weather! Hope springs eternal. Susan
It looks like you are immersed in a winter landscape! I hope that you are getting over the flu cooties now. Between the weather and feeling poorly, nobody can blame you for daydreaming about warm, spring weather!
Beautiful photos, but I'm tired of winter already! We've had an especially snowy and ultra-cold winter so far in northern IL. I can't tell you how many days and nights we've had already of below zero temps. Spring can't come soon enough!
Sorry you caught the flu. Glad you are better. Your yard looks great in the snow. I am a big snow lover but I am starting to tire of the white stuff and bitter cold.
