It's one of my all time favorite colors, and yet I never decorate with it.
Until now!
I've had this old, beat up bird house that I've been wanting to make over. I don't actually mind the rustic siding. It was the dingy, dark green roof that really needed some sprucing up.
So I cleaned it off and gave it a quick coat of Bahama Purple by Delta Ceramcoat (which I believe has {sadly} been discontinued).
Much better!
The perfect punch of color along the back fence.
The two birds came off of a birdbath that unfortunately did not make it through this crazy New England winter, despite having been covered under a tarp with a lot of other garden decor.
This last photo, with the bunny and the moon, reminds me of a favorite book I used to read to my girls when they were little, "Goodnight Moon."
This week I'm joining Brenda at Cozy Little House for Tweak It Tuesday
and Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.
I hope you all have a great week!

I love that bold color, Donna! It's a really cute bird house :)
ReplyDeletexo,

It is a pretty colour.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
I love the color periwinkle. It is beautiful. I was noticing your weight loss record. How are you or how did you do it? I have been trying forever and cannot lose a pound. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove that color and looks so pretty in the garden against the fence. I have the moon you have, is yours cement? Mine weights a ton...Fences make great place to hang just about anything and have hung many windows on mine too! Anything to add interest. Sorry the paint color is being discontinued! Maybe do a color match?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! Too bad they discontinued it. Periwinkle has been a favorite of mine since grade school! I too rarely decorate with it. It's perfect in the garden!
ReplyDeleteOh Donna, that's adorable. I love the periwinkle roof!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, Goodnight Moon remains one of my all time favorite children's books! Love it.
How are you doing? It's freezing today! FREEZING. Brother. Susan
The birdhouse came out wonderful and I really love the hanging window and moon! Glad you found a way to keep at least a part of your birdbath.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out really cute, Donna! I like your whole vignette by the fence. Have a lovely weekend! Bess
ReplyDeleteOoh I am a big periwinkle fan too! I hope the birds appreciated the new curb appeal to their home. I bet the chippies like it too!
ReplyDeleteSo bright and pretty! Lovely job!
