...for not making the bed every day.
There are actually many excuses:
1) I certainly can't disturb Her Highness during bath time...
2) And all that washing can wear a girl out. I have to let her be once the yawning starts...
3) ... because the yawning always lead to a cat nap, and how could I disturb her during that?
4) And cat naps always lead to full out "head tucked under the tail" deep sleep. I wouldn't think of disturbing her then!
5) Of course after waking, the stretching starts. Stretching is second only to sleeping in the cat kingdom, so I certainly can't disturb her then!
6) And after washing, yawning, napping, sleeping, and stretching, Baby likes to zone out and meditate for a while. I always let her have her space during that time.
7) And truth be told, sometimes it doesn't take more than a cute look for me to forget about making the bed...
But on those days when the bed is going to be made, and made now, this is her annoyed look because she knows she is going to be removed from her comfortable spot! Next time I'll show you what the bed looks like when it's finally made! And I'll bet you can guess who is right back up there as soon as I'm done!
Have a wonderful week, everyone!
Donna
I have to say, we are becoming huge fans of your cat. ;-)

Baby is so full of personality she needs her own tv show. Or at the very least, a commercial.

Oh my gosh. This is such a cute blog post about your cat sleeping on your bed. Our Rocky loves our bed. He does the same thing that Baby does!
ReplyDeleteI guess our beds are cozy to them.
If I had a cutie like baby, I would not be rushing to make the bed either!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute post ~ our cat does the same and when I try to move her she does give me that look ;-)
ReplyDeleteI would't disturb the Princess either.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it and your sweet comforter covered in roses : )
Love Claudette
xoxoxo
I have the same problem with my little doggy baby....I couldn't possibly disturb her when she's all nice and warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty quilt, too! Great colors.
She is one photogenic kitty!

LOL! What a darling post, Donna! lol! Baby is such a character! I know exactly what you mean though. My old girl, Sophie, creeps under our linen coverlet after I get in bed at night, stays there all night long snuggled against my body, gets up when it's breakfast time.....then creeps back under the coverlet. Ahhhh....such the life of a cat. :)

She sure does have you trained, LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh that Baby is too darn cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI think this is so funny because i have been guilty of this so many times. I'm glad to know I am not the only one!!
I love the photo with her pupils huge..she's not a happy camper!lol!
Sending big hugs and kisses to Baby girl!!
Pamela :)
And what a cute excuse it is!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Your Spring post of Baby climbing the window and sitting on tiny boxes is absolutely adorable. I can barely change sheets on our beds because Jingles likes to be right there when I start trying to put the sheets on. She likes to run under them and hunker down while I am trying to tuck ends in. :/ Silly cats! Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteI literally laughed out loud at the last photo! My cat, Luna, gets that same look when I try to make "her" bed. I posted pics of my kitties on my bed a few days ago, too...Luna wrapped herself around my book and was not going to let it go! :)
ReplyDeleteMorning Donna~ ~ Cute post about your sweet cat. It's a nice fix for all us cat people out here in blogland. Wishing you a Happy Easter.

Aw, I know how can you resist that face? I understand completely. My cats totally run the household.
ReplyDeleteSHe is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love my bed made everyday but sometimes I must admit that I let my dog, Maggie Mae, have her little time of comfort resting on my bed before and after it is made. Your cat reminds me of my daughters' former pet cat, Top Cat.
ReplyDeleteBaby is beautiful and so photogenic! Our cat, Callie, spends a lot of time on our bed too. But, she just lets us make the bed around her. Even when we pull the covers up, she just lays there. Sometimes she doesn't even wake up!
