No explanation necessary...

Just photos taken of the storm that started yesterday afternoon and lasted into the night. Every single snowflake was captured by using the flash on my camera. Truly a beautiful evening, no matter how tired I am of this winter's snow accumulation.

Stay warm, everyone!!

  1. Such beautiful photos of the snow! I never mind the snow here in Minnesota. It covers all the ugly brown dead vegetation. I love your backyard. Can't wait to see it again in the spring!

  2. I love your pictures Donna...it could have been my own yard:):) We have had the unending snow, so it seems. Tomorrow will be a mixture...hope it thaws slowly. Take care and be safe. xoxo,Susie

  3. You really did capture the beauty of a snowfall. That time at dusk is so peaceful, and the falling flakes make everything magical!

  5. May as well take beautiful pictures of it!! And you did! :)

I live in Western PA, south of Pittsburgh. Winter was always like this up until the last ten years or so. The last ten years were sort of strange with so many warmer spells throughout the winter.

As a kid I remember being sent to school with leggings and many layers..pretty much the same when I was raising my boys. Winter was just full of snow and cold and sled riding and building snowmen etc. So in a sense I just think that it is back to normal

  7. Your pictures of the storm are so pretty! Here in IL we've gotten over 63" of snow already, and it's snowing now with expected 3-6". But I do love winter and love when it's here! Hope it slows down for you, and stay warm an safe!

  9. Your snowy pictures are beautiful and they are exactly how I like my snow -- in photographs and not in my yard!!!
