Baby strikes again...

 The picture of innocence.
Right?

Not so much.
Get ready, Baby, because I'm going to spill all of your secrets.

Once upon a time the dining room bay window looked like this,
with a beautiful white pedestal bird perched to the left.

Now I have to be honest, it already had a crack in the breast and a 'patch job' on the beak from when my handsome Mr. B...

...  knocked it over years and years ago. (Wasn't he gorgeous?)

So the bird that looked like this just last week
(with the cracked breast and patched beak)...

... ended up looking like this. (Yikes!)

After a terrible glue job, it now looks like this. Not much better, I'm afraid.
Hopefully when I have more time I can do a better repair job.

90% of the time Baby is very well behaved.
(After all, look at the company she keeps!)

But the other 10% of the time? Oh, boy!
Baby knows she is not supposed to be on the counter. Does she look guilty?
I don't think so either.

From the time Baby was adopted at 6 months old...

... she was pushing all the limits!

Not much is safe from Baby when she gets into one of her 'moods.'

On rare occasions, valances have been pulled down.

But on a daily basis, runners end up on the floor.

What was once a beautiful, matching pair of vintage boudoir lamps...

... has now been reduced to a single lamp.

The beautiful pressed flower frame that holds a cherished photo of my mom at 4 years old...

.. is now shattered beyond repair.

Every year we wonder if we should put up a tree...

... and nobody's feet are safe in the bathroom when Baby is 'hiding' behind
the shower curtain before her sneak attacks!

So if we could, would we change a single thing about her?

(photo altered with PicMonkey - link on sidebar)

Not in a million years!
(unless you count maybe being a tad more graceful :)

Have a great week, everyone.
I'm joining Brenda at Cozy Little House for Tweak It Tuesday and
Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday!

I don't know Donna....are you sure she isn't being framed by another cat or dog? Someone else is probably doing the damage, she goes up to inspect the damage and **flash** someone snaps a pic and there she is looking guilty. Poor Baby! :-)

I've got one like that, too. She has gotten better though, with age. (There may be hope!)

I know it is naughty .... but it did make me laugh! Baby, what a cat. Love your photos of your naughty feline. And Mr B, what a handsome Dude he was.

Oh my goodness - this has got to be the most delightful post I've read in MONTHS! You captured it ALL in pictures that maintain that "who me?" look in every one! I do love the photo of "the company she keeps." awwww! No wonder mommy wouldn't change her in any way - she has friends in high places!
I have had my share of cat destruction too. One Christmas season evening we sat about the fireplace, imbibing generously in wine. "Orangey" matched across the mantle, flipping nutcrackers as he went. All of them were chipped or broken. In the morning it didn't seem as hilarious as it did that night!

Thanks for such a delightful post. So amusing! Baby sure can be a rascal, can't she?! She has got to be the most beautiful cat I have ever seen! All that luscious fur! It looks so soft and silky.

Oh "Baby." She is a pipper. She sure gets into some doozy situations, eh?

I can identify, Donna. Honey Cat, 20 years old, still drives me bonkers at times.

Left a square of butter uncovered by mistake. GONE! And she knows she's not supposed to be on the counter, either.

Ahhhh, our fur babies. They are precious. Susan

Sounds like a girl of my own liking!
She never really looks guilty, maybe she has a split personality? You know like Dr. Jekyll and Mrs. Hyde! Anyways, you just got to love her.

Being a cat lover--I love hearing the antics of other cats. Mine are good most of the time too :)

Baby is beautiful and I'm with Jeannine! I think it is possible some other animals are framing her. I'm also pretty sure that Baby's feelings are hurt by your comments on her grace and poise. She couldn't possibly be more graceful!

So many wonderful things to play with! Baby does not know where to start. The bird in the window reminds me of Humpty Dumpty. Good luck with that!

How I enjoy your blog and how the personality of your cats/dogs make me smile! Baby is a beauty!!!

Baby reminds me much of my one cat, Monkey, He is very naughty like that, too. My other two cats don't cause quite the mischief that Monkey does! Oh, but we still love them so much, don't we? :-)

I feel your pain!

Funny I was just thinking about all the things Percy has broken/destroyed in the condo. I feel a blog post coming on too.
