my furry little stress buster...

This past week was a bit stressful (actually, the entire year has been a stressful for our little family due to the recession, job changes, illnesses, money worries blah blah blah)... I'm sure many of you can relate...

Dad recently had surgery and I have been sleeping at his house for the past week to help out a bit... I'm happy to say that dad is feeling much better now...

Every morning, starting at about 5:30 (I didn't get much sleep while over there), I would peek out the big living room window and watch dad's little bunny. Sometimes it was just one bunny, sometimes he would bring a friend. I finally remembered to bring my camera over one night and captured this little sweetie early one morning.

As you can see, my dad leaves carrots and a water bowl out for his furry friends. Just watching these little guys helped melt away some of my stress. Hoping you all have ways of coping with any stress you might be having in these (sometimes) trying times...

Hi Donna...I can SO relate. These are trying times. There are almost no jobs here. Plus, several family members are really ill. I'm doing a LOT of surrendering these days. Best thing to do. The little bun bun was cute. Susan

Oh boy, do I relate! Sometimes, the stress gets so intense that I don't know what to do. But each time I see a little bunny, or a sweet birdie or some deer, it helps. I concentrate on them and my worries ease for a few moments.

I hope your Dad is feeling better, Donna. What a sweet man he is to leave treats out for the bunnies.

I'm thinking of you.

Good Morning, Donna,
I can so relate to the emotional stress that goes along with caring for an elderly parent. I will keep you in my thoughts.

And our furry friends...yes, they do help us reduce our blood pressure...unless, your bunnies are eating your flowers, then it is not a good thing!!

Take care ~Natalie

I'm so happy your dad is doing well.

How cute is that bunny! My friend has bunnies over at her house and I love to go there because I always see a few hopping around in her front yard.

Hugs,
Joanne

Donna - I truly believe that God sent that little bunny to you today to let you know that He's still in control and that you have nothing to fear nor worry about. If he cares for that sweet little rabbit, then he certainly is protecting you, friend! Peace to you.

So cute. Animals/pets are great for helping us humans relieve stress. I do not know what I would do without my kitty cat.

The bunny is so cute! And isn't your dad sweet to leave carrots and water for his little friend? I guess we know where you get your love of animals from.

Hope your Dad is doing well and you can get some sleep.
