To my dad...

May God hold you in the palm of His hand until we meet again...

On August 6th, Dad left us and went to rejoin my Mom.

To say he will be missed is such an understatement.

I don't think it has completely sunk in yet that he is gone.

I believe with all my heart that both Dad and Mom are together once again, happy and healthy...
I wish I had told you every single day that you were my hero. I hope that the many things I should have said, or didn't say, you can hear now with your heart as I whisper them to you in my nightly prayers.

You are my everything, Dad.

My sweet, kind, caring, gentle father.

I will always be your Little girl.

I would give anything to have you sitting here, once again, for supper. You are my inspiration to be a better person. I love you beyond words, Dad.
Until we meet again, I love you....

Donna Doo, Ducky, Your Little Girl

Thank you so much to everyone who said prayers and sent positive thoughts our way. It was so very appreciated. You are all in my thoughts and prayers today.

I'm sure your Dad is aware of your thoughts and love, and is looking down on you. I know these are all cliches' but they have become so because so many of us believe them. Someday we will all be reunited, love is the bond that is never broken. My heart goes out to you. xoxo Lana

Donna,

The pictures of your dad are priceless. I especially love the one of him with the chipmunk. I am so sorry for you loss!

By the way, a lady from TX ordered two nests from seeing them on your blog. :)

Donna,

I am so very sorry for the loss of you father. The pictures are so special. On Feb.20 of this year I lost my daddy. He too was my hero. He was a Viatnam Veteran, Master Paratrooper in the Army's 101st. Praise God he isn't suffering anymore, but we will always miss our daddies! sharon

Oh Donna, my heart is breaking and I am sitting here crying. When I saw the title of your post I wasn't sure if I should click on it or not. I just kept saying "Oh no, oh no, oh no". Then I read what you wrote and I was back to being a little girl when my dad died and I knew just what you were feeling.

I'm so so sorry. I know you will miss him every day.

I too have NO doubts that your mom and dad are together again in heaven and you will one day be with them again.

I like to think that my mom and dad are visiting with your mom and dad and laughing over some of our silly posts we have posted over the years.

Stay safe and take care of yourself. Are you in the path of the storm?

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Big hugs my dear friend!

Joanne

i know exactly how you feel. My dad past away almost six years now, and just like you it hasn't sunk in yet. I wasn't there on his side when he die, but that night he passed away, i had a dream of him, he took my hand and danced with me, then he said goodbye, he kissed my forehead smiling, then he said... "i'm going home". The next morning, my sister phoned and told me that dad had passed away. I think my dream was real, that somehow his soul visited me just to say his final goodbye. It was unbearable, but then his words stayed in my mind, he said..he's going home. And that's what i believe. when we die, we all go home to the place where we came from, united with all of our loved ones who have been gone before us. death is just a way of telling that our mission here on earth has been accomplished.

Hi Donna,
I clicked over to your blog and I'm so sorry you've lost your dad (here on Earth). My heart goes out to you and I send you positive wishes and pray for comfort for you until you meet your dad again.

I always think how great it is to have a kind soul that loved me so much in my life when I think of my dad. Know it's just a little sentence I've typed there but so many people haven't had that in their lives, you know? Prayers with you, Donna.

Love that photo of your dad with your dog and the chipmunk (because animal lovers truly have the largest hearts) but they're all so beautiful.
