The storm before the storm....

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!! We had a small, quiet, lovely one here. Luckily, for all those who traveled on Christmas day, the blizzard didn't arrive here in New England until today.

This was the small snowstorm that arrived a few days before Christmas.

It was just a teaser of what was headed our way.

Our two "welcome" bunnies....

...may have snow to the top of their ears before this next storm is through.

We are officially under "blizzard conditions" until Monday evening at 6 p.m.

All of these photos were taken on December 22nd.

And although it didn't amount to much, this snowfall was enough to give us a beautiful White Christmas.

I'll try to take photos from these same vantage points...

...once the blizzard has moved out.

I am so ready for spring!

Hi Donna....I'm hoping the weathermen are dead wrong and that we won't get a blizzard after all. Not bad outside yet where we are. I'm snug and cozy in the living room with a fire crackling in the fireplace. Plan to stay here for several hours, too! Susan

We live in east TN and have had 4 snowfalls already! Like, what is going on??? LOL, we usually don't have that many in a whole winter. Stay warm and safe!

Oh honey, I bet you'll really be ready for spring before the week is out. It's cold here for this region. But no snow expected. I wonder what that cat of yours is up to?

How pretty! I know even though it is beautiful most people hate living where it snows because it just makes it harder to get around and it's so cold. But I think it looks just lovely and makes me jealous of your white Christmas :)

We're hunkering down here in Stoneham. Got extra food, candles are ready and the computer and cell phones are charged.

It's already windy and we have quite the accumulation of snow.

I have the week off so I don't have to worry about going to work. I think we will have lots of photo opportunitie once the storm passes.

Be safe!

Very cold, but very beautiful in your garden. The snow covered the bird house so beautifully :)

Happy New Year!

That soft fresh snow was so pretty, wasn't it? It sure didn't last long though.

Personally I think the blizzard was a bit of a bust here along the coast of NH. We were supposed to get 10-18" of snow but ended up with around 6. You probably have more than we do!
