Wintry Woman...

Wintry woman has finally made an appearance at our little cottage...

And she's dressed for anything Old Man Winter might send our way...

... from her sparkly silver, fur-trimmed Santa hat (under $3.00 at Walgreens - shhhhh, she thinks it came from some fancy boutique!)...

... to her fashionably oversized sunglasses (I've had these since the first time they were in style which shows how old I am! It also justifies my need to hang onto things, knowing the truth behind that old addage, "everything old is new again" - but shhhh again - WW thinks they were bought new, just for her!)

... to her "oh so soft and warm" pink scarf (again, shhhh... she doesn't know it's a hand-me-down from Witchy Woman, who didn't know it was a hand-me-down from me, as is her 'collage' brooch!!)

Well, she got bundled up just in time, because if you look out our dining room window, you'll see that we had our first official snow of the season last night! Not more than a couple of inches, which were then glazed with ice...But they're talking up to a foot of snow tomorrow... Old Man Winter has definitely arrived... (Wintry Woman asked if I'd move her next to the window so she can watch the snow falling tomorrow! As much as I dislike snow, I have to admit that WW does have a point....I also love to watch the snow falling)...
Keep warm everyone!!
Donna

How whimsical & how fun!

While antiqueing w/ my mother recently, we were discussing how I want a styrofoam wig head (after seeing your Mrs. Witchy I must have one) & we started laughing about all the ones she used to have for her falls & wigs. The owner, of the antique shop, overheard us & offered to sell me one of her's. For $4!

I think I am going to decoupage sheet music on to mine. I'll show her off to you when I get her finished.
