The calm before the storm...

The weatherman said we might get up to 12" of snow on Sunday. I'm sooooo not ready...

On the bright side, I looked out my office window yesterday and spotted this handsome fellow perched in our hoppa crab tree....

Cardinals are just so striking.

Still no tree up. The jury is still out as to whether we will be putting one up this year or not. All thanks to this little girl, seen here curled up behind the tv in my office, another of her favorite places to hang out.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Oh no. That's a lot of snow! I don't think we're getting any. We haven't had anything but a dusting of snow so far this season. I will cross my fingers that the snow doesn't come. Your little baby is adorable.

That sweet (and mischievous) little kitty of yours is what is striking! But of course I love the red cardinals. (My kitty is still being unsociable. I think it's going to be awhile to establish trust...)

Hi Donna...WHAT? 12 inches of snow in New England? Oh NOOOOOO. Who said? Hope that's an error on the weatherman's part.

Loved your sweet red cardinal. Also, that adorable cat. She should be ON tv, not behind it. LOL.

Take care, Donna. Susan

Wow and I thought it was getting cold here in CA. You would most likely be out in shorts if you lived here :)

That Cardinal is beautiful! I've never seen on in real life.

Oh I say, put the tree up. Let kitty have some fun. LOL

When I had my cat she loved when I put the tree up. Even if it was fake. She didn't care. She would lay under it and then when I put the presents under there and took her spot she peed all over them.

Cats, they really do rule the roost!

Hi Donna! Love the photo of the cardinal! I've posted photos of them a few times on my blog, as well. In fact there's one from just a day or so ago. It's hard to tell because it's a female and she has her head down inside a bird feeder! Snow!! I love Snow!! But, I also don't have to get out and drive in it, like I did when I worked outside the home. Oh, love your kitty, too. :)

I had to laugh! We had just this conversation concerning our tree too - and for the same reason - Edward our 8 month old kitty! We finally put the tree up yesterday - filled it with plastic ornaments and nonbreakable keepsakes and the little guy pretty much leaves it alone! I say...go for it! (But don't put much on the bottom branches!)
